Notes |
- Hettie was born around the Spencer area and lived there until she moved to Akron to work sometime in the late 1920s. She and her husband were married in Akron and lived there until after the birth of their first child. When William Otha got laid off amid the depression about 1930, they moved back to his home place in Calhoun County, WV. They moved to Parkersburg to work around 1942 when wartime demand opened up a lot of jobs there. They lived in Parkersburg until 1988 when they both moved to Florida to live with their son and his wife. Hettie died in Orlando, FL and was taken back to Grantsville, WV for burial.
