  Obituary: Charles E. Kinney, 87 of Crooksvile, died at 1:55 am Saturday Nov 24 2001 at his home. Born Oct 1, 1914 in Crooksville, Mr. Kinney was a retired coal miner and a member of the Beech Grove Holiness Church. Surviving are his five sons, George Kinney of Zanesville, Alva Kinney of Hemlock, Hayes Kinney of Crooksville, Richard Kinney of Crooksville, Willey Kinney of New Lexington; his two daughters Betty Mauller of Moxahala, Biddie Davis of Nelsonville; several grand-children, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Dennis Kinney; two sons, Charles Kinney and John Kinney; two daughters, Nancy Kinney and Evelyn Dupler, his parents, Hayes and Martha Jane Dennis [Should be Bradford] Kinney, several brothers and sisters. Calling hours were from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday, Nov 26, 2001 at Roberts Funeral Home in New Lexington. Services were at 11 am Tuesday Nov 27, 2001 at the funeral home with Reverend Wilbur McKee officiating. Burial was in the Iliff Cemetery in McLuney.
