  Obituary: Magdalena Gross, 82, went home to be with the Lord, on July 1, 2003. She was born in Kempton, Germany, in 1921, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1953, where she remained a resident of Green until her death. Magdalena enjoyed spending her time with her cockatoo, Rudi, gardening, and planting flowers, as well as spending time with her grandson and great-grandson. She is survived by her grandson, Guy Robinson of Green; great-grandson, Curtis Robinson of Canal Fulton; and sisters, Anna Kreisher and Kathe Gerbasi, both of Kempton, Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Gross, and daughter, Lore Christine Robinson. Family and friends may call Sunday, July 6, 2003, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Schermesser Funeral Home, Green Chapel, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Route 619). Funeral services will be Monday, July 7, 2003, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
